An integrated infrared illuminator allows this biocular to be used in low-light and no-light conditions without emitting visible light and giving away the operator's position. Operator's can output the transmitted image via the Vu's S-video video-out port. An included flip-up head mount allows hands-free use of the Nyte Vu and helps enable a comfortable long-duration observation experience.
CCD sensor captures monochromatic images of the visual scene and displays the image in the LCD screens inside the viewfinder.
Sensor is not susceptible to damage by bright light as with analog night vision image intensifier tubes.
Video-in feature allows the in-view LCD to display NTSC-compatible video sources.
Video-out allows the transmitted image to be viewed or recorded on NTSC-compatible video sources.
